Case Picking
ICPS: suitable for every operation
Intelligent Case Picking System is made up of standard components. The modular structure makes it possible to build a system that is precisely tailored to the specifications of the case picking process.
Every project starts with a thorough analysis of the master data and order data. This analysis determines the design of ICPS. How many stacking stations are needed? How large should the i-Collectors be connected to the stacking stations? And how many i-Collectors are needed to create sufficient buffer stock for a day?
Not only the number, but also the exact design of the i-Collectors can be adjusted to the specifications of the project. How many channels must each module contain? And what is the optimum number of packages per channel? The shorter the channels, the fewer sliding movements are required to store the right packages in the right order.
Flexible and scalable
Due to its modular structure, ICPS is an extremely flexible and scalable solution. Companies can start with a few stacking stations and a few i-Collectors and easily expand if the revenue growth makes it desirable. A professional simulation tool makes clear when expansion is desirable and whether the planned expansion is actually sufficient to handle the growing volumes.
An additional advantage is the compactness of ICPS. The storage density of an i-Collector module is strikingly large. Moreover, because no space is needed for a complex system of conveyors, the total footprint is extremely small. Due to the limited dimensions of the modules, ICPS is easy to fit into any building.
Easy to integrate
ICPS is in fact an add-on that can be linked to any existing operation. ICPS only needs the master data and the order data from the WMS in order to be able to create mixed pallets fully autonomously. Based on the order data, the system calculates how many packages are needed, which is translated into removal orders for the bulk warehouse.
ICPS makes extensive programming work and months of testing procedures unnecessary. This ensures a relatively fast and simple implementation. Does the system need to be scaled up over time? Adjusting the configuration in the software is sufficient. In short, with ICPS you have an extremely cost-effective and flexible automation system with which you can quickly respond to developments in the market.
